When the phone rang at 5:30 in the morning on January 29, 2011, it rattled me from a sound sleep. I let it go, thinking it had to be a wrong number, besides, it was a Saturday morning, I had been up late that night before and it was too cold to deal with anything outside the comfort of my warm bed. I let it go. When the phone rang again at 5:45 I figured that had better forego warmth and comfort and answer the damn thing. It was Sue, the second person on the alarm companies list of people to call when there has been a violation of any security at the studio. She was at the studio when she called and told me that a brick had been thrown through the glass of the front door. From what see could tell, it appeared to be simply an act of vandalism and everything appeared to be in order. She had called the police who in turn called a "boarding" service and then she told me everything was okay, go back to bed. Unable to do much more than that, I went back to sleep. Monday I call...
